Ben Duflou - Director

Ben is a qualified Chartered Accountant, registered with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1999.

Ben has provided public practice services for 12 years, with additional experience through the involvement of management accounting, financial accounting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) compliance projects for large organisations such as ANZ National Bank & Electricity de France.

Ben has a wide range of experience providing management accounting, compliance, business structuring and business planning services across a number of industries, such as retailing, servicing, manufacturing, wholesaling and property.

Ben has particularly strong experience and knowledge with regards to property related accounting and taxation issues, looking after a number of property investing clients. With investment properties of his own, Ben is well placed to provide advice on a wide range of property investing issues, not just tax related.

Ben has been married to Toni since Feb 2002 and has three young children (Alexandra 5 yrs old, Rebekah 3 yrs old & Samantha 1 yr old). Ben also has a keen passion for golf.

Elena Underwood – Accounting and Administrative Assistant

Elena joined the team in January 2010 to manage some of the compliance and administration related issues associated with running a public practice business.

Elena is also currently undertaking the completion of her tertiary level accounting papers with a view to becoming a qualified chartered accountant.

Elena has 10 years experience within the service industry, particularly within hospitality where she has completed a Diploma in Professional Food & Beverage. She has a wide range of business management, budgeting, accounting and marketing strategies skills.

Elena is also a director for Solarworld, a company focused on renewable energy and the efficient use thereof.

Elena has two girls, Eden (11 yrs old) and Lily (8 yrs old). She enjoys a good movie and a glass of wine.
